‘Attachment’ is a term describing the complex psycho-social process of ‘emotional investment in other’. Attachment experiences and behaviours arise from early developmental influences which inform and shape perceptions of self in relation to other, and influence emotional/relational responses throughout life.

This course covers the basic tenets of attachment theory; how this important framework can help us identify, understand and work with people to maintain healthy relational styles, and describes how we can assist those struggling with problematic attachment patterns.
