Critical Life EventsOccasionally in our lives we may need some help to sort out a problem or difficulty, or we may be experiencing thoughts, feelings and in some cases behaviours that concern us. Psychological Therapy and Counselling can help to make sense of what is happening to you as well as supporting you through difficult periods in your life.
A Stepped Care Approach
Our Aim is to offer you an intervention as soon as possible in the hope that you will be able to start the recovery process as soon as possible. This might involve one or more of the following;
· Mental Health Triage & Screening · Supported Self help & Bibliotherapy with a Graduate Mental Health Worker · Stress Control Course · Psycho-educational Courses—Stress & Anxiety Management, Improving Low Self Esteem, Assertiveness Training. · Counselling · Psychological Therapy · Emotional Support from Assistant Mental Health Practitioners · Interactive Computer Programs
Our first consultation is to help you explore options and decide what interventions will be helpful and appropriate for you. Our Initial Consultation will generally be 50 minutes. The types of therapy we offer are;
· Cognitive Behaviour Therapy - CBT · Inter Personal Therapy - IPT · Eye Movement Desensitisation - EMDR Reprocessing · Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling
